Seqlense Investment Brief 41 - EN
Investment Brief #41: as finance goes digital, its vulnerabilities become interconnected. The attack on Binance (around $6.34 billion of assets affected, 98% restored according to the platform) saw Tether and Circle freeze more than $2.6 billion of stablecoins: the weak signal of the week is that issuers are becoming crisis management players, whose governance matters as much as their reserves. The ECB publishes the results of the Appia consultation and selects two connectivity providers for the possible digital euro, with no issuance decision. In France, the crypto tax amendments fall with the rejection of the revenue section of the 2027 budget. The AMF and the CSSF raise their liquidity expectations for money market funds (20% VNAV, 40% LVNAV/PDCNAV) from 1 February 2027. Gold drops to $3,870 before rebounding above $4,000. Finally, the AI Act nears its 2 December deadlines, while London clarifies its application in Northern Ireland and its framework for facial recognition.
