Seqlense Investment Brief 40 - EN
Investment Brief #40: data becomes the new instrument of financial supervision. ESMA publishes the MIDAS technical instructions for crypto market abuse surveillance, the FCA secures HTX’s withdrawal from the UK market and the OCC adopts its payment-stablecoin rule (redemption within two business days, in force 18 January 2027). The AMF finds weaknesses in SCPI distribution, the SEC sets its 2027 examination priorities and the EBA and ESMA propose simplifying taxonomy indicators. In AI, the Council adopts its Digital Omnibus position, the Commission reviews responses from over 30 model providers and the Dublin Declaration sets Europe’s priorities. Gold returns to around 4,000 dollars as the Fed holds rates. Takeaway: the next stage of market transformation will be operational and regulatory, not solely technological.
